Blooming Tides was inspired by my love for the ocean and the treasured memories of childhood summers spent with my family by the water. I remember long holiday days along the shore, listening to the quiet rhythm of the waves, feeling the salt on my skin, and discovering tiny sea creatures tucked among the rocks and sand.
Those simple moments of curiosity and wonder became the heart of this collection.
I imagined an underwater world filled with tiny fish, flowing seaweed, delicate sea life, and playful abstract bubbles drifting through the water like little blooms. The patterns are inspired by the movement and rhythm of the ocean, but interpreted through a soft, graphic, and whimsical lens.
The colour palette combines soft ocean blues, deep navy, gentle periwinkle, and sunny yellow, creating a feeling that is both calming and playful. The contrast between the cool blues and warm yellow brings a little sunshine into the collection, recalling bright summer days spent beside the sea.
As the collection developed, I explored the ocean motifs through different scales and arrangements—from expressive fish and seaweed compositions to decorative tile-like designs, tiny seaweed sprigs, bubbles, stripes, and playful geometric coordinates.
